PRIO achieves a 45% reduction in planning time with digital solutions

PRIO, the largest independent oil and gas company in Brazil, implemented DrillPlan™ coherent well planning and engineering solutions for well factory planning with the aim of increasing the number of wells drilled and overall production. As a result, planning time was cut by at least 45%.

PRIO chose to implement DrillPlan solutions as the key software application driving and streamlining their well factory planning process. This has led to a reduction of at least 45% in planning hours. The key drivers of this improvement were quicker interaction with all stakeholders, robust iterations for engineering analysis, much faster comparison of alternative and/or contingent scenarios, and a solid document control structure (project version control, revision matrix), all made possible by DrillPlan solutions.
