BluePack Max PW-V3

High-pressure permanent wireline-set production sealbore packer

minus

BluePack Max PW-V3™ high-pressure permanent wireline-set production sealbore packers are available in a range of materials for a variety of service applications, including H2S and CO2 environments.

The sealbore is the same size as that of a QUANTUM™ gravel-pack packer, and BluePack Max PW-V3 packers are fully compatible with QUANTUM packer accessories.

Rated up to 10,000 psi [69 MPa]
Rated up to 325 degF [163 degC]

The packer is a single-string device that can hold differential pressure from above or below. It isolates the casing annulus to allow production of a specified zone in vertical, deviated, and horizontal wells. The packer can also act as an anchor for the tubing string.

Enhance completion efficiency

The single-piece mandrel body designed for up to 10,000-psi pressure differential makes this packer an economical choice for production and injection applications. The positive set of the slips and element improves reliability.

The packer is normally set on wireline, saving operating time and costs. In highly deviated and horizontal wells, a hydraulic setting tool with an adapter kit can be used instead.

Field-proven standard configurable packers

The modular architecture of our BluePack™ production packers simplifies engineering designs across the entire family.

You can select the packer that’s best suited for your well environment while configuring certain components and subassemblies of the packer based on the specific requirements or challenges of the well. For example, you might customize the elastomer based on the chemical properties of the fluids that will be in the well.

This standardization not only improves lead times and costs, it also improves operations by ensuring that employees are trained on a standardized deployment methodology.

The design incorporates two full-circumference slips supported by two opposing tapered cones with a sealing element assembly positioned between them. The slips and sealing element assembly are sequentially set and held in position by a positive-lock mechanical ratchet. The slips are designed to split into multiple segments on setting and provide a full 360° grip on the casing.

Packers are available in quality grades Q1, Q2, and Q3.
