Wireline and MWD borehole seismic measurements
True seismic targeting for complex 3D VSPs
High-resolution borehole imaging begins with source control. The submeter GPS accuracy of the portable SWINGS seismic navigation and positioning system provides source position determination within 3 to 5 m for both marine and land environments.
The source position is continually relayed via an ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) telemetry link to the logging unit for immediate recording with the seismic trace header. This pairing eliminates any delays in merging position and seismic data to enable real-time QC and save rig time.
Safety built in
Digital file transfer means there is no need for the vessel to approach the rig. A dedicated helmsperson's position display provides continuous presentation via WLAN of navigation information, which is critical for guiding the vessel in adverse sea conditions.

High-performance energy sources for all operating conditions
Our database of more than 150 far-field source signatures powers a wide range of borehole seismic applications, including
- zero and fixed offset
 - vertical incidence
 - walkaway
 - seismicVISION seismic-while-drilling service.

Signatures are in both SEG-Y and graphic formats for presurvey design and evaluation and postproject reports.
Wide bandwidth and strong sources
Optimize the source spectra output for your advanced surveys by specifying deployment depth, operating pressure, and air gun chamber size.
Calibration within and between surveys and predictable, consistence source performance improve your data quality and accelerate project turnaround. Calibration of the peak amplitudes enables determining the safest distance for deploying a source.
TRISOR acoustic source control system
This component of the Q-Borehole seismic system integrates with the SWINGS system to deliver the highly predictable and consistent seismic source required for superior-quality signals.
Seamless digital acquisition
The in-sea electronic controls are connected by proprietary ruggedized Ethernet cable for digital communication with the imager's surface acquisition system. This avoids the signal corruption that occurs on conventional umbilicals and supports integrated QC for accurate recording of source positioning and downhole data.
With ±0.5-ms accuracy or better and typical gun synchronization values of ±0.1 ms, the TRISOR system provides stable, noise-free signatures, validated with continuous QC monitoring of your data.
