You can’t grow by standing still
Companies don't reach 100 years by standing still. Over the past century, SLB has continually evolved through technology, new capabilities, and the people who have shaped the company along the way. My own career journey has been shaped by that evolution in ways I never expected.
I joined SLB in 2016 through the acquisition of Cameron International after 13 years with the company. Like any acquisition, it came with uncertainty about what would come next. In hindsight, it became one of the defining moments of my career.
Since then, I've had the opportunity to lead across operations, marketing, carbon solutions, and the Production Systems Division before moving into my current role leading Geographies, Integration, and Sales and Commercial organizations. It has certainly been an atypical path to leadership at SLB, but each role has broadened my perspective and continues to influence how I lead today.
If my journey has reinforced one thing, it's the value of different experiences. The people of SLB have always intrigued me—their intellect, curiosity, and ability to solve extraordinarily complex problems. That depth of expertise is one of our greatest strengths. So is our ability to bring together people with different backgrounds and experiences, and to let those perspectives challenge us and make us better.
This same mindset shapes how we work with our customers. Every basin is different. Every challenge is different. The best solutions come from combining technology, expertise, and local understanding to deliver value for each customer.
SLB's next century will require the same mindset that has defined our first: a willingness to learn, adapt, and bring together different expertise to solve increasingly complex challenges for our customers. I remain inspired by our people. Our diversity of thought has helped shape the company we are today and will continue to define what we become in the century ahead.
