Our advanced simulation tools enable you to plan and operate challenging wells with an acceptable level of risk. Safety margins decrease with increased complexity, making the need for accurate models, which include transient effects critical.

The Olga simulator puts your well engineers in control, with the ability to predict transient well flow behavior and determine the optimal process to eliminate or minimize potential problems. It supports building a virtual well to analyze what-if scenarios, diagnose well flow problems, and predict results of well operations. Well engineers have seen improvements to their well-engineering design to ensuring long-term production optimization, for conventional wells and particularly for wells with advanced completions and complex geometries—long horizontal, multilayer, multilateral, large-bore, and undulating trajectories.

Transient well analysis using the Olga simulator enables well engineers to predict issues with the virtual well and avoid problems with the actual well.

Olga 2025.1 introduces the innovative Olga new solver (CCS), developed through the Olga CO2 REACH joint industry project (JIP) to improve CO2 handling capabilities. This solver provides robust and accurate simulations of CO2 transport and injection, essential for the effective design and operation of CCS systems. It enables reliable and precise multiphase modeling with strong vaporization and condensation, optimizing capital and operational costs for CCS transport systems.

The Olga simulator can accurately model geothermal wells using the single component option if pure water is used as a working fluid. Flow assurance considerations and accurate flow simulations give key insights for the optimal design and operation of geothermal systems.
