The AquaWatcher Surface™ water salinity sensor determines water salinity in real time by employing microwave sensor technology to continuously measure water conductivity in wet gas and multiphase (water-continuous) flow.
This automated high-resolution measurement across the full range of the gas volume fraction reduces your operating costs by eliminating manual water sampling and analysis.

How It Works

Using advanced microwave sensing technology, the AquaWatcher Surface sensor measures water conductivity inline, even at very low concentrations. It detects first water presence and monitors salinity variations, providing critical data for hydrate prevention and corrosion control. The sensor also calculates the ratio of hydrate inhibitor to water, supporting efficient chemical injection strategies.
Seamless integration with the Vx Spectra flowmeter improves your flow rate calculation
The AquaWatcher Surface sensor’s full integration capability with the Vx Spectra flowmeter means you can include continuously updated water salinity in your flow rate calculation. Having highly representative continuous salinity data increases the accuracy of the flow rate calculation beyond what is possible when using periodic manual data.
