The RCD 3™ rotating control device features a patented high-pressure Internally-lubricated bearing assembly and is compatible with both rotary and top drive rights. Its compact design enables easy installation through most rotary tables without removing the master bushings; it can be mounted directly on top of the BOP or on an adapter spool if needed. The RCD 3 is available as a stand-alone offering or as part of a complete managed pressure drilling (MPD) or underbalanced drilling (UBD) package.
How it improves performance
The RCD 3 device is an internally-lubricated passive sealing device that offers improved safety in diverting well returns such as pressurized gas, fluids, and cuttings to a surface separation system during MPD and UBD operations. It provides reliable containment and surface backpressure, contributing to improved well control and safety in challenging MPD/UBD operations. Certified and manufactured to API 16RCD standards, it offers durability and long-term performance under demanding downhole and surface conditions.
