Bridge fractures with pressure-resistant seal

The Losseal Natural Fracture™ lost circulation control treatment combines engineered fibers and solids into a specially formulated pill that effectively mitigates lost circulation during drilling. The Losseal treatment leverages the synergy between fiber and solid properties to bridge fractures that could cause partial or total fluid losses. This treatment forms a strong, impermeable grid capable of withstanding increased mud density and pressure from future drilling or cementing operations.

  • Losses while drilling
  • Fluid losses greater than 40 bbl/h
  • Natural fractures
  • Dolomite and limestone zones
  • Spacers ahead of cement slurries
  • High-differential-pressure resistance
  • Reduced losses in fissures and natural fractures
  • No requirement for laboratory tests
  • Combination of fiber bridging and solids plugging for durable fracture plugging
  • Can be pumped through most BHAs during LWD and MWD, eliminating unnecessary, time-consuming trips
