Peak Family telescoping space-out joint
Trouble-free intervention reduces rig time and mitigates problems associated with completion space-out
Slick wellbore for trouble-free intervention
The telescoping space-out joint of Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools reduces rig time and problems associated with completion space-out, especially on subsea completions.
By maintaining a continuous bore between the upper and lower completions, the Peak Family telescoping space-out joint aids well interventions in in high-angle deviated wells.. With full-tool rollers to match the tubing radius, it creates completions with easy land-off and bottleneck prevention.
Subsea workovers and completions
Bottleneck prevention between the wireline entry guide (WEG) and liner top
Completions for easy land-off
- Provides a slick wellbore from the tubing hanger to the bottom of the well to enable trouble-free intervention
- Reduces friction at high angles with full-tool rollers
- Convex and concave rollers to match tubing radius
- Long stroke length (up to one standard joint)
- Bell guide on the lower end to locate and centralize on the liner hanger
Easy installation and customization
The joint is shipped in a closed position. Once on the rig floor, the transport pins can be removed to allow the telescoping space‑out joint to fully stroke open.
Rated shear pins are then inserted, which will be sheared out when the lower end of the telescoping space‑out joint lands off on the lower completion. The lower end can be supplied with various centralizer or muleshoe designs to suit specific applications.
