Peak Family flow control and well intervention tools
Reliable, efficient retrieval of parted or balled wire to surface.
The heavy-duty nonreleasable overshot of Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools help recover downhole equipment that cannot be retrieved using conventional engagement methods. By creating a new fish neck profile on the outside of the fish, the tool provides a reliable means of establishing a pulling point when the original profile has been damaged or is no longer present.
Interchangeable slips and an adjustable core enable the tool to accommodate a range of fish diameters and engagement depths. This flexibility allows operators to address multiple fishing scenarios with a common tool platform while reducing the number of dedicated fishing tools required on location.
For demanding recovery operations, the overshot can be combined with standard releasable pulling tools or heavy-duty pulling tools capable of transmitting higher jarring loads. Integrated bypass ports help maintain circulation if the fish cannot be recovered, supporting continued well intervention activities.
Enables retrieval of fish that cannot be engaged using conventional fish neck profiles
Expands recovery options for damaged or partially compromised downhole equipment
Adapts to a wide range of fish sizes through interchangeable slip configurations
Helps reduce equipment inventory requirements through shared component design
Supports circulation through bypass ports when retrieval is unsuccessful
Provides a secure profile for subsequent pulling and jarring operations
The Peak Family heavy-duty nonreleasable overshot is run into the well and positioned over the target fish. Interchangeable slips engage the OD of the fish, allowing the overshot to be planted onto the damaged component and establish a replacement fish neck profile.
Once the overshot is securely installed, the newly created profile can be engaged by a releasable pulling tool or heavy-duty pulling tool. Recovery forces are then transmitted through the overshot to the fish, enabling pulling and jarring operations to retrieve the equipment from the wellbore.
The tool's configurable reach, slip selection, running neck options, and optional bell guide components enable deployment across a broad range of well conditions and fishing applications.
