Surface, downhole and equipment data aggregation, transmission, and visualization to put all your data at your fingertips, anytime.
Enable a customer to harness the full power of the cloud through private SaaS, while remaining in compliance with strict data residency and security requirements.
Deliver the best of both worlds—the scalability and flexibility of the cloud, with the control, security, and sovereignty of on-premises infrastructure.
This is the first successful private SaaS deployment of DrillOps intelligent well delivery and insights solutions, marking a breakthrough for the energy industry and data-driven operations.
Unlike traditional public cloud models, where data is stored and processed in shared environments, private SaaS enables dedicated, customer-controlled instances—ensuring full alignment with internal IT policies, national regulations, and enterprise compliance frameworks.
In this deployment, of DrillOps data aggregation and delivery, 180 edge devices were brought online in just 45 days, all of which can be managed remotely. This was done while remaining compliant with over 800 data residency and security requirements.
At the rig site each edge device acts as a universal data hub, collecting WITSML, WITS, OPC-UA, and other provider feeds, compressing them with zero data loss and streaming to the unified real-time center (URTC) with minimal latency. All incoming data reaches the URTC through a private relay, while every outbound call is forced through internal gateways and private domain name system (DNS) zones, satisfying strict traffic-control rules.
The same edge devices also host DrillOps advisory, a solution using data-driven models to deliver real-time ROP optimization, dysfunction mitigation, and stuck-pipe risk alerts with no need for extra hardware.
For the customer this goes beyond a mere deployment—it is a strategic leap toward digital autonomy, data confidence, and next-generation performance—ushering in a new era of innovation, trust, and control. 750 users from the customer’s company now leverage DrillOps data aggregation and delivery for real-time operational insights and reduced NPT.
The same template developed for this project can also be used to set up DrillOps solutions in new environments, within hours, for other regions and customers. So, real-time pipelines can feed AI models and dashboards that flag anomalies and key KPIs, resulting in better informed decisions during the drilling process.
