Peak Well Systems
Flow control and well intervention technologies continue through SLB
Peak Well Systems was a specialist designer and manufacturer of downhole tools for the well intervention and completions markets. SLB acquired the company in January 2017, continuing its flow control and well intervention technologies through the SLB slickline mechanical intervention portfolio. These include the SIM™ sealing integrity management system, Hi-Ex™ high-expansion through-tubing tools, and Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools.
Peak Well Systems was established in 2002. It became a market-leading designer and manufacturer of downhole tools for the well intervention and completions markets. Its flow control technologies were known industrywide for their simplicity, performance, reliability, and ease of retrieval.
Peak Well Systems portfolio spanned isolation systems and intervention tools. Its intervention portfolio included advanced slickline and wireline tools for well servicing and wellbore cleanup. It also included debris-removal tools, high-deviation deployment accessories, and heavy-duty fishing equipment. The flow control portfolio included permanent and retrievable bridge plugs, isolation systems, flow control devices, injection valves, safety valves, and gauge hanger plugs.
SLB acquired Peak Well Systems in January 2017. Peak Well Systems mechanical and remedial solutions strengthened the SLB portfolio, expanding the SLB well intervention and flow control offering. These technologies are deployed on electric line, mechanical and digital slickline, coiled tubing, and drillpipe.
