Reliable, high-flow-rate pumps for high-enthalpy geothermal systems
Reda Thermal™ power-efficient geothermal electric submersible pumps reliably lift fluids in high-enthalpy geothermal wells, delivering high flow rates with maximum electrical efficiency, minimal maintenance, and long run life. Using energy-efficient permanent magnet motor (PMM) technology and motor sections with high power density, together with an industry-leading motor winding temperature rating of 572 degF, the Reda Thermal pump performs reliably in geothermal wells and at setting depths in excess of 6,000 ft [1,800 m]. The modular assembly accelerates installation, reducing rig time from several days (15–20 days for a typical line-shaft pump (LSP) installation) to 2–5 days. There is no contamination of reservoir or process fluid by lube oil because of the self-contained lubrication.
The combination of reliability and efficiency enables profitable production from geothermal wells that were previously uneconomical to produce—with minimal parasitic power load.
Reda Thermal ESP has earned the "Solar Impulse Efficient Solution" label after a rigorous evaluation process. This label validates the economic profitability of products and processes that protect the environment and help decision-makers find efficient solutions to meet their environmental commitments.
