How it improves performance
Our electric valve control skid is used in conjunction with ValveCommander fluid delivery control to enhance efficiency via precise, automated control of electrically actuated frac valves throughout the frac pad. Operators can monitor and verify valve positions on each well in real time during the entire frac operation.
How it works
The control skid serves as the interface between frac hardware and the ValveCommander control software. Commands sent by the software are interpreted by a programmable logic controller (PLC) on the skid to identify which valve needs to be actuated. The PLC then sends a signal to the corresponding electric actuator, which moves the valve to the desired position—open or closed.
Integrated position sensors provide continuous feedback on valve position. If the valve fails to reach its target position within a predefined time window, an automated alarm alerts the operator of a potential issue.
What it replaces
Manual as well as hydraulic valve operations.
