How it improves performance

DynaDrive™ compact high-performance power section is a short-length, high-output solution designed to deliver the performance of a full-length motor in a compact form. Its advanced power section design can reduce overall power section length by up to 30% without sacrificing power output while providing up to 50% greater torque and power than conventional designs of the same length. Its aggressive rotor/stator geometry, deeper lobe profiles, and enlarged cavities maximize fluid-to-rotor surface contact, boosting torque transfer and power output. High-performance elastomers and load-balancing geometry ensure durability, sealing integrity, and efficiency under extreme downhole conditions.

By increasing torque density and reducing motor length, it enables tighter BHA configurations, improving sensor placement, directional control, and compatibility with real-time communication systems. Its optimized flow path supports up to 20% higher flow rates, enhancing hydraulic horsepower, improving hole cleaning, and enabling better cuttings transport in challenging well profiles.

DynaDrive power section is ideal for environments requiring increased hydraulic efficiency and is compatible with PowerDrive vorteX RSS. It supports BHAs optimized for closer-to-bit sensor placement and integration of shock and vibration tools. The compact design allows for shorter motor assemblies without sacrificing power, enhancing BHA reliability while reducing power section costs.

How it works

DynaDrive power section uses a compact positive displacement power section with optimized rotor/stator geometry to maximize fluid contact and torque generation within a shortened housing. Deep lobe profiles, enlarged cavities, and advanced elastomer materials improve torque transfer, sealing performance, and durability under demanding downhole conditions. The streamlined hydraulic flow path minimizes pressure losses while accommodating higher flow rates, enabling the power section to deliver the output of a longer motor in a more compact design.

What it replaces

DynaDrive power section replaces conventional full-length power sections that require longer motor assemblies to achieve the required torque and power output. By delivering equivalent or greater performance in a significantly shorter package, it eliminates the compromises associated with limited BHA space, restricted sensor placement, lower hydraulic efficiency, and reduced configuration flexibility for advanced drilling assemblies.
