Milling Tool
ReSOLVE Family instrumented wireline intervention services
Orchestrated, tractor-powered rotary and milling tool operation.
Multiple, confirmed shifts in a single run
Both the ReSOLVE™ instrumented wireline intervention service and ReSOLVE iX™ intelligent extreme wireline intervention service use a smart shifting tool (SST). The SST is paired with the high-expansion anchor and high-force linear actuator for efficient, effective shifting.
The smart shifting tool’s keys can be opened and closed on command, enabling latching of multiple shifting profiles in any well condition and sliding sleeves in multizone completions or isolation valves. The linear actuator's bidirectional capabilities allow multiple shifts in any direction, in one run—whether to a single component or multiple components in multizone completions. Continuous measurements of displacement and applied force validate completion of the operation.
Continuous measurements provide real-time confirmation of downhole actuation.
Built-in sensors enable real-time tool tracking and control of downhole operations.
Configurable, bidirectional shifting capabilities enable multicomponent shifting in one run.
High performance even in HPHT, deviated, restricted access, or sour conditions.

The smart shifting tool’s keys are fully retracted while running the tool downhole, enabling the tool to pass any restrictions. To latch a selected completion component, the smart shifting tool radially extends profile keys with a specified preload force. The extended keys remain compliant to navigate well geometry.
Once the smart shifting tool is latched onto the profile of the component, the anchor secures the tool in the well and the linear actuator extends or retracts to shift the component.
