From the day my SLB journey started 17 years ago to when I stepped into the office today, I’ve been given the chance to learn. The challenges I’m honored by; the people I encounter and collaborate with—everything feels attuned to this mutual, insatiable desire for exploration and discovery.

And it’s been this way since day one.

Whether I was designing complex intelligent devices in Sugarland, Texas, or breaking new ground here in our Cambridge research labs, there has always been something—or more likely, someone—to learn from.

Now that I think about it, this persistent growth and collaboration is very much what defines SLB. We have a passion for broadening and sharing our knowledge that has taken root in the organization, molding its culture into one of boldness, innovation, and community. Like roots below a tree, it sustains not just the individual but the entire collective.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to learn and work with some of the best minds in the industry. As Research Center Director, I’m continuing that journey. I spend a lot of my time with brilliant scientists, and let me just tell you… The wisdom and enthusiasm they bring are contagious.

As part of my job, I oversee our internal incubator program. This is where we bring learnings from the startup world into our organization, which helps us embrace one of our core behaviors: to always experiment, learn, and grow. It speaks volumes to how SLB fosters accelerated innovation.

Not only am I grateful for the freedom I’ve been given in guiding and partnering with such a diverse group of pioneers, but I also firmly believe that the seeds of SLB's next 100 years are being incubated within our program as we speak.

A desire to expand horizons, be it for our personal growth or that of the world around us, is what drove many of us to SLB in the first place. It’s a wonderful thing to be continuously offered the space to think, act, and lead, with each moment presenting an opportunity to learn that keeps me energized.

Honestly, I’m inspired every day. That’s not something many people can say, but at SLB, it’s something we all have in common.
