How SLB and ChampionX’s integration may impact you

Now that SLB has finalized the acquisition of ChampionX, we are working to integrate our supply chains and supplier relationships. And we want to ensure you are well-informed about the changes that will affect our partnership.

Our top priority is to ensure a smooth process that promotes business continuity for everyone while seeking the best value for our customers. The FAQs below address many of the questions you may have during this transition. If your question is not addressed below, please do not hesitate to submit your question or concern on this “Speak with supply chain” form. Supplier Frequently Asked Questions

Has the company name changed from ChampionX?

ChampionX will continue to exist under the SLB umbrella. If this changes in the future, it will be formally communicated.

Will my delivery process or location change?

Any changes to deliveries, such as locations or requirements, will be formally communicated by the appropriate employee of the combined company and your primary contact. If in doubt, please reach out to your contact and do not make any assumptions.

Will the shipping guidelines and safety requirements change?

Shipping guidelines and safety requirements will not change on the day of close. Continue to follow the existing guidelines and requirements. Any potential changes will be formally communicated.

Will there be any changes to the procurement process or the systems that we use?

The procurement process and business systems will not change on the day of close. Continue to follow the established process provided by your primary contact. Any future changes will be formally communicated.

Will there be any changes to product specifications or packaging?

Product specifications and packaging will not change on the day of close. Future changes will be formally communicated.

Will my contact person or supplier manager change?

Your contact person does not change after the deal close. Please continue to use your established contact person. Any potential changes will be formally communicated.

Will the current invoicing process change? Where should I track invoice status?

Continue to submit your invoice using the established process you have been given by your contact and customer. To track invoice status, utilize the same platforms already available to you. Any future changes will be formally communicated.

Will there be any changes to existing purchase orders, contracts or agreements?

There will be no change on the day of close. Continue to honor your commitments. Future changes, if any, will be formally communicated.

I supply both ChampionX and SLB. What pricing and payment terms will be applied after the deal closes?

Please reach out to your primary contact to discuss how to handle this transition.

What resources will be available to suppliers on the day of close to help navigate changes?

Several resources will be available immediately:

  • This FAQ document is live and will be updated regularly through the integration process.
  • We will employ formal communications through email, posts, and SLB.com.
  • Your primary contact will be trained on any changes and will be in communication with you via usual channels.

Will there be opportunities to expand our relationship under the new, combined company structure?

We anticipate that there may be broader circumstances for collaboration. Your primary contact can facilitate further discussion.

Do we need to set up new entities in our system?

If you are not currently supplying both SLB and ChampionX, there is a possibility you may need to set up new entities to cover parts of the business that you are not serving. For these cases, your point of contact will notify you and provide all of your required onboarding documentation.

Will there be any changes to policies or insurance requirements that will affect suppliers?

There will be no change on the day of close. As we go through the integration process, any necessary changes will be formally communicated.
