Driving innovation with ambition, balance—and AI
As far back as my university days, I was eager to join the energy sector. I had my sights set on SLB (then Schlumberger) because I knew it was an organization that champions innovation and the people who make it possible. And it was important that I worked for a company that develops its solutions with both people and the planet in mind.
I’ve since navigated many fascinating roles within the organization, from field engineer to strategic sales, and now to my current role as Location Manager. Through it all, I’ve seen our collective excitement for great tech—the kind that truly benefits the world—grow in myself, in our organization, and in our customers.
Today, that paradigm-shifting technology is artificial intelligence.
Every energy player in the world is eager to adopt more innovative AI into their daily operations, and I have the privilege of using SLB’s agentic solutions (currently being developed with our global partners) to lead them through this change.
To say I’m excited is an understatement. Having spent my whole career in digital, I find it incredibly motivating to watch this venture unfold.
I’ve pursued a long-term career of innovation and impact at SLB, and I want to see others do the same. I want to encourage and reward ambition through enriching learning opportunities, the same that helped me grow the most.
I’ve taken complex roles in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and now Iraq. My current assignment is challenging and rewarding. Working in the field in a high-risk location, where security is always a major concern, is never easy, but it taught me how to be more resilient and determined to succeed.
That said, my motivation has and always will be to share the lessons I’ve learned throughout my career with others.
I want to continue building strong client relationships through trust and open communication. I want to mentor my team, encourage them to grow their technical and soft skills, and help them establish long-term goals for their careers.
Balance is, of course, also key. As a career professional and a mother, I know the importance of enjoying work life and family time. So, while we may strive for ambitious targets in the office and put on a serious face amidst some of the world’s biggest complexities, rest assured that we always leave room for a little fun.
Which is why this year brings me so much joy. SLB is celebrating a century of success. And I honestly believe it’s a direct result of our amazing people and their enthusiasm to grow in innovation, influence, and impact.
As long as we take this enthusiasm with us, SLB will continue to lead for more than just another 100 years. That, I can assure you.
