Working in recruitment has taught me that my impact goes far beyond attracting talent. I can help people realize their potential.

It’s a lesson that’s been made powerfully clear to me in some seemingly small ways. For example, I participated in an initiative to donate laptops to a project supporting students in vulnerable situations. Giving these essential and empowering tools to those in need was a compelling reminder that even the simplest actions can have life-changing effects.

It also made me reflect on how making these connections can help open many doors not just for young people, but also for SLB. Because a big part of what has driven the success of our business for the past 100 years is nurturing professionals who are eager to learn, grow, and stretch themselves to achieve more than they thought they could.

“For me, recruitment is about contributing to a diverse, inclusive, and socially responsible future.”

During my time here, I’ve come to understand that recruitment is truly a two way-street: My goal is to help build a strong, sustainable talent pipeline for the company’s future—which is only possible by actively expanding access to job opportunities for talented people. Listening to their unique stories and helping them understand how they can find the right fit here. And encouraging them to envision new possibilities for themselves, both personally and professionally.

To me, this is the embodiment of SLB's value of putting people first, and what makes my work most meaningful.

It’s also why I believe connecting with early-career job-seekers is so important. I often participate in career fairs and other events with industry organizations like the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. I partnered with our digital team in a software donation ceremony for the Observatório Nacional and universities across the country. I also support programs like “Programa Autonomia e Renda Petrobras” (promoting income generation through education and training), “Mulheres Mil” (providing training for women in vulnerable social situations), and “O Mar Também é Delas” (encouraging women’s participation in offshore operations).

Through these efforts I’m proud to share who we are, what we do, and what our values are. But my motivation isn’t just to represent SLB. It’s to help young people with different perspectives and experiences see themselves with a career in this industry.

Because for me, recruitment is about contributing to a diverse, inclusive, and socially responsible future. And as we celebrate a century of progress at SLB, I believe it’s what will help us continue to make a positive impact—on our people, communities, and industry—for the next 100 years.
