The TuffLine iX™ extreme-performance torque-balanced wireline cable comes in two variants to serve all operating environments: standard cables with GIPS armors and alloy-armored cables suitable for sour-gas environments. TuffLine iX cable combines a torque-balanced design with advanced alloy construction to deliver superior strength-to-weight ratio and operational efficiency. Its gas-blocked feature ensures integrity in high-pressure environments, removing the need for redundant backup cables. This reduces complexity and cost while improving safety.

The compact structure and optimized flow tube configuration enable faster rig-up and high-speed logging, even on platforms with limited space. Operators benefit from reduced maintenance and extended cable life.

  • High-pressure gas wells
  • High-volume land and shallow-water offshore environments
  • Production platforms with limited space or low rig-up height
  • Sour-gas environments
  • Lower torque for reduced risk of armor wire damage
  • High operational speed up to 25,000 ft/hr
  • Gas-blocked construction prevents gas migration
  • Compact size for easier handling and reduced weight
  • Polymer-filled armor package for improved sealing and corrosion resistance

The cable uses a composite structure with caged armor wires and a polymer-filled armor package to minimize torque buildup and enhance sealing performance. Alloy components provide high tensile strength while maintaining flexibility for efficient handling. Gas-blocking technology prevents wellbore gas migration, ensuring reliable operation in sour environments containing H₂S and CO₂.
