Enables clean, reliable cutting of slicklines or cables

The cutter of Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools enhances wireline recovery operations by enabling clean, reliable cutting of slicklines or cables when downhole tools become stuck. Its nonexplosive, mechanically actuated design allows safe deployment even in high-risk or restricted environments, such as deviated or subsea wells. By enabling rapid recovery of the wire’s upper section, the cutter minimizes nonproductive time and supports operational continuity.

  • Intervention when toolstrings are stuck downhole
  • Wire or cable recovery from blown-uphole scenarios
  • Subsea well deployment as contingency in seabed well control packages

  • Integral nonhydraulic, nonpyrotechnic power charge
  • Built-in wire/cable clamp and contingent cutting setup
  • Comes with three retaining plates (0.108–0.312 in)
  • Rollerized models available upon request
  • Simple field redress capability
  • Supplied with safety clamp for safe site handling
  • No radio silence requirement

The Peak Family cutter enhances wireline recovery operations by enabling clean, reliable cutting of slicklines or cables when downhole tools become stuck.

The cutter uses a self-contained, nonhydraulic, nonexplosive power mechanism to activate a cutting element. Upon deployment, the cutter engages the wire or cable using an integrated clamp. Once the clamp is secured, the cutter severs the line with precision, ensuring that retrieval operations can proceed without introducing explosive risk or requiring surface radio silence protocols.
