I’ve been with SLB for 15 years, with six of those spent in the Permian. What’s kept me here is the constant opportunity to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Throughout my career, I’ve had the chance to gain experience across a variety of technical and operational roles, which has really helped shape my path. That variety—and the ability to keep expanding my skillset—has made the journey both rewarding and exciting, and it’s what continues to keep me fully engaged.

• What’s your connection to the Permian Basin, and what does this region mean to you personally?

  • My connection to the Permian Basin really feels like it has two chapters. I first came here in 2015 as the Regional Cement and Frac Lab Manager, and I returned in 2024 as the WIT OUPSD Manager. One of the first things I noticed back then was the strong sense of community. Coming back years later, it’s been great to see that spirit is not only still here, but even stronger as the region has grown. I’ll admit, as someone who loves being outdoors, it took me a little while to adjust at first. But it didn't take long for me to appreciate the unique beauty of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. I’ve really enjoyed getting out and exploring a different side of Texas than I grew up with.

• How long have you been with the company, and what has kept you here over the years?

  • I’ve been with SLB for 15 years, with six of those spent in the Permian. What’s kept me here is the constant opportunity to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. • What do you enjoy most about your work and being part of our team?

  • Without a doubt, it’s the people. Both times I’ve lived and worked here, I’ve been surrounded by incredible teams, and that’s what makes the experience so meaningful. I really enjoy that my role gives me the opportunity to collaborate with—and learn from—people across different functions and product lines, each bringing their own unique experiences and perspectives. One of the things I value most is that many of those connections have lasted, even during my time away from West Texas. The relationships you build here go beyond just work, and it creates a level of trust and familiarity that makes coming back feel seamless.

• What makes you proud to work in the Permian Basin and to represent our organization here?

  • The Permian Basin is the heart of the oil and gas industry, and I’m proud to represent our organization in such an important region. There’s a real sense of purpose in knowing that the work being done here is helping develop new technologies and set operational standards for the industry. It also takes a certain level of grit to succeed in the Permian, and I’m proud to be part of a team that rises to that challenge every day. Being part of a group that works hard, supports each other, and is constantly striving to improve is something I take a lot of pride in.

• Can you share a memorable moment or achievement from your time working here?

  • For me, the most memorable part of my time here hasn't been a single event, but rather the collective experience of returning in 2024 and seeing how the relationships I built years ago were still just as strong. Being able to step back into a leadership role here, reconnect with those colleagues, and also build new relationships across functions and product lines has been incredibly rewarding.
