The increased efficiency of Maximus Eon motors translates to significant cost savings compared with previous-generation motors. Exact values depend on hp rating and price of electricity; for this illustration, we used USD 0.10 per kW.h. The Maximus Eon motor showed a 3% higher efficiency, equating to savings of 2.8 kW.h for a 100-hp motor, 10 kW.h for a 360-hp motor, and 17 kW.h for a 540-hp tandem motor.
