This resource provides a benchmark analysis to evaluate the performance of different equations of state (EOS) included in the Symmetry™ process simulation software and to document the strength of these methods in modeling pure CO₂ and CO₂ binary mixtures often found in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) operations. This includes a special focus on the recommended, robust, and widely used natural gas processing property package in the Symmetry software: APRNG2 (Advanced Peng-Robinson for Natural Gas 2) and REFPROP (GERG-2008, EOS-CG), which are generally considered as the industry standard for these operations. .
