Jurassic Production Facility (JPF) is a major gas processing facility located in North Kuwait. The facility has more than 30 wells connected to it and processes more than 100 MMSCFD and associated condensates of 40,000 BOPD and 12,000 BWPD. Multiple departments that oversee the production facility (such as Engineering, Operations, Maintenance) are working in silos and communication between teams can have improvements. This paper, discusses a solution that has brought out different teams from their silos; a digital, easy to use online solution and platform, that is accessible via any internet connection, with backend machine learning models and related alerts from real time data is the key feature of this deployment.

The alerts include but not limited to, rotating equipment (Pumps, Compressors), process unit health monitoring, and Chemical Optimization. The digital solution provides valuable insights into the overall equipment health and predictive analysis. This paper will present the creation of digital twins of several facility equipment and process systems, potentially reducing operational and maintenance costs, reducing shutdown days, and increasing export quality.

For the Gas Facility to maintain production and 100% uptime, regular inspection and overhaul is required on over a 100 rotating and static equipment. Early detection of an anomaly is a feature of the digital platform solution, enabling planning for repairs and minimizes damage loss with early intervention. Likewise, the digital platform also monitors process units and parameters including foaming, flooding, carryover and entrainment issues, giving the opportunity for early operational intervention. Chemical injection Optimization and Process anomaly detection provide the system health analysis in real time. Another feature of the digital solution platform, is the easy access to engineering files organized specifically for each equipment, enabling facility design changes and review to exponentially increase review time as data collection is drastically improved.

The current stage of digital solution is a proof of concept and yet it is fully functional over the equipment and unit selected and proved a major success. The platform is scalable and can easily be implemented in a short period of time, in other facilities in Kuwait, regionally and internationally.
