Valve and choke technologies

Drilling chokes in the field.

Oilfield Services was founded in 1972 in Oklahoma City. Initially, the company provided standard wellhead services to southern US oil and gas producers. In 1977, Oilfield Services was purchased by Kaneb. Then, the company was renamed as American Oilfield Products, marking the beginning of Cameron’s AOP valve and choke technologies brand as it is recognized today.

The Cameron AOP valve and choke technologies are suitable for a host of applications within the oil and gas industry. Based on the proven needle-and-seat principle and optimized through design, AOP technologies offer a comprehensive solution for challenging flow control applications throughout the industry.

Our AOP technologies are characterized by their robust, clean design features and rugged, easily assembled components. They are available in pressure ratings to 10,000 psi and in a combination of threaded, butt-welded, and flanged interface connections. Positive or adjustable trim configurations also can be specified.
