Evergreening pre-stack depth migration (PSDM) and integrated subsurface evaluation

EXALT has recently completed the first ever evergreening project in Algeria, through the depth reimaging of 15,000 line km of 2D marine seismic data covering the whole offshore Algeria

The Algerian offshore basin is one of the world’s largest remaining frontier hydrocarbon provinces, covering more than 130,000 km² and remaining largely unexplored, with only three wells drilled and approximately 15,000 km of 2D seismic data.

Recognizing this untapped potential, EXALT has re-evaluated the basin through a seismic data evergreening program and integrated subsurface study. Advances in seismic imaging and subsurface evaluation have significantly strengthened the understanding of offshore Algeria. Improved data quality and integrated interpretation now position the basin as a commercially attractive opportunity with manageable geological risk.

Reliable seismic imaging
High‑quality reprocessed 2D seismic data delivers clearer imaging of complex overburden, intra‑salt, and pre‑salt sections. This improved visibility enhances confidence in trap integrity and reservoir target, helping to de-risk exploration.

Source rock potential for oil and gas
Two source rock units are interpreted to provide a robust charge foundation, with the potential to generate both oil and gas and support multiple play types across the basin.

Working petroleum system confirmed
Geological and geophysical evidence indicates effective hydrocarbon generation, migration, and entrapment, reinforcing confidence in the potential for commercial discoveries.

Attractive portfolio of leads and prospects
A broad portfolio of leads and prospects has been identified across a range of structural types and stratigraphic levels, offering flexibility in exploration timing and portfolio balance.
