Digital solutions drive new record in the Egyptian Western Desert

Deployment of DrillOps™ advisory, Neuro™ automated directional drilling, DrillOps predictive analytics, and DrillOps performance insights, for Agiba Petroleum Company in the Egyptian Western Desert, led to a 37% increase in rate of penetration (ROP), a 32% reduction in connection time, and cost savings of USD 170,000.

The Egyptian Western Desert is known for its challenging drilling conditions. Traditional drilling methods often resulted in suboptimal performance and higher costs. To address these challenges, SLB and Agiba Petroleum aligned on an integrated approach by deploying DrillOps intelligent well delivery and insights solutions, and Neuro autonomous solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Improving ROP and reducing connection time were the focus of this deployment.
