The pneumatic SCREEN PULSE system on the MONGOOSE PRO shale shaker creates a pulsating suction below the final shaker screen. Cuttings samples taken from when the SCREEN PULSE system was turned off and when it was turned on were compared, and savings were extrapolated from that difference based on the price of mud and the cost of waste disposal. The technologies helped the operator reduce waste and recover 76 bbl of reusable drilling fluid over 4 days, saving USD 3,146.43.
