Inhibitors are the first line of defense against corrosion. In oil and gas fields and production systems, they mitigate the risk of corrosion caused by CO₂, H₂S, organic acids, and more, addressing localized, under deposit, galvanic, and other forms of corrosion that can lead to equipment failures. SLB has a full range of inhibitors to prevent all these types of corrosion.

Our portfolio includes products for specific applications, such as deepwater basins and environmentally sensitive regions, where many oil and gas fields are located. We also provide inhibitors for oxygen corrosion in closed loop systems and top of line corrosion (TLC) as well as encapsulated treatments for use downhole, batch corrosion inhibitors, and multifunctional products. Corrosion inhibitors for midstream and downstream applications are also available.
