FDPlan agile field development planning solution and FieldTwin from FutureOn
Faster field development planning, less rework
Integrated subsea layouts. Faster decisions.
The Intersect™ reservoir simulator empowers reservoir engineers to tackle today’s most complex subsurface challenges with confidence.
Combining leading science, superior performance, and flexible gridding, the Intersect simulator delivers fast, scalable modeling for every reservoir type—whether it is a mature oil and gas fields, appraisal/exploration fields, unconventionals, or new energy applications like CO2 storage.
Seamlessly bridging data from geology, geophysics, geomechanics, and production engineering, the Intersect simulator enables smarter, more integrated workflows. It helps teams simulate reservoir behavior with greater accuracy, and in a faster, more cost-effective manner than ever before..
The result? Sharper insights, optimized recovery strategies, and more confident field development decisions.
The Intersect reservoir simulator supports:
State-of-the-art algorithms that work across various hardware configurations, for more confident simulation insights in an operational timeframe.
Leveraging four decades of pioneering research and innovation in reservoir science, validated through industrial partnerships.
Multi-domain integrated workflows for better field development decisions, uncertainty quantification, and optimized recovery.
The Intersect simulator supports NVIDIA’s Blackwell GPU architecture, including both data center and workstation GPUs across NVIDIA B200, B300, and the RTX PRO Blackwell Server and Workstation Edition series.
With Intersect 2026.3, Visage™ 2026.1, and Petrel™ 2026.1, users can now directly couple Intersect simulator and Visage finite-element geomechanics simulator cases with EDFM grids, improving the simulation of complex fractured reservoirs and unconventional shale assets. Direct coupling with the Visage simulator allows the simulation to account for the interaction between fluid pressure within the fracture network and the effective stress on fracture planes provided by the Visage simulator. This enables more accurate and robust modeling of fluid flow through naturally occurring and hydraulically created fractures.
The thermal well model has been enhanced to account for potential energy, improving the accuracy of temperature predictions along the wellbore. This contribution can be particularly significant for deep wells and near-adiabatic systems. This enhancement enables more realistic modeling of temperature predictions along the wellbore, and is especially beneficial for applications such as geothermal reservoirs, where these conditions may be encountered.
