ESP Permanent Magnet Motors
Reduced energy costs and improved ESP performance
ESP Permanent magnet motors have power efficiency, power factor, and power density and help lower electricity consumption.
Power-efficient geothermal electric submersible pump
Reda Thermal™ power-efficient geothermal electric submersible pumps reliably lift fluids in high-enthalpy geothermal wells, delivering high flow rates with maximum electrical efficiency, minimal maintenance, and long run life. The combination of reliability and efficiency enables profitable production from geothermal wells that were previously uneconomical to produce—with minimal parasitic power load. This makes Reda Thermal pumps an ideal replacement for line-shaft pumps that are limited by depth and well profile, require maintenance, and are time consuming to install.
Reda Thermal ESP has earned the "Solar Impulse Efficient Solution" label after a rigorous evaluation process. This label validates the economic profitability of products and processes that protect the environment and help decision-makers find efficient solutions to meet their environmental commitments. Reda Thermal power-efficient geothermal electric submersible pumps reliably lift fluids in high-enthalpy geothermal wells, delivering high flow rates with maximum electrical efficiency, minimal maintenance, and long run life. The combination of reliability and efficiency enables profitable production from geothermal wells that were previously uneconomical to produce—with minimal parasitic power load.
Using energy-efficient permanent magnet motor (PMM) technology and motor sections with high power density, Reda Thermal pumps perform reliably in geothermal wells at bottomhole temperatures up to 440 degF [225 degC] and setting depths in excess of 5,000 ft [1,500 mt]. The modular assembly accelerates installation, reducing rig time from several days (15–20 days for a typical line-shaft pump (LSP) installation) to 2–5 days. There is no contamination by lube oil (required for LSP operation) of reservoir or process fluid due to self-contained lubrication.
Optional downhole monitoring sensors enable monitoring of pump and reservoir operating parameters and optimization of pump performance to extend run life.

Reda Thermal is a mark of SLB.
Ni-Resist and INCONEL are marks of their respective owners.
Reda Thermal pumps are the product of more than 100 years of ESP development and deployment, including decades in steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) projects, where lower-flow-rate ESP systems operate with run life exceeding six years in harsh oil environments up to 480 degF [250 degC]. The most recent advances include novel materials and elastomers to survive geothermal fluid composition and temperatures.
