Background
Ready for plug-and-abandonment operations, NAM needed to mill casing in well BRK-11. In similar wells in the field, this operation had required between 4 and 10 milling runs for the same casing length. To reduce the number or runs, NAM decided to use a Schlumberger 12 1/4-in casing mill to mill 672 m [2,205 ft] of 10 3/4-in casing.
