Quantified fluid measurements, which were previously unachievable from wireline logs or laboratory analysis, are now possible downhole and in real time by investigating fluids at their source. Field development planners can gain deeper insights into fluid composition and distribution that help improve their understanding of the reservoir.

InSitu™ measurements Geomechanical Profiling workflow is an end-to-end solution that seamlessly blends cutting edge digital capabilities with state-of-the-art hardware to deliver a precise in situ stress representation that is key to mitigating risks across various applications, from well construction to production and even CO2 injection and storage. The InSitu measurements workflow provides an accurate mechanical earth model (MEM) in real time and the workflow extends from initial MEM creation and first estimate of geomechanical stresses to planning and calibration of the MEM within situ measurements of minimum principal stresses. With a calibrated model, operators can confidently determine safe injection pressures and optimal injection rates to maximize production and storage capacity.

InSitu measurements workflow can be used in any environment including offshore or land fields for secondary recovery projects to determine the maximum allowable pressure for injection, or for carbon capture and sequestration when assessing caprock integrity. It can also be used in unconventional reservoirs to design multistage hydraulic fracturing.
