The 2022 World Oil Awards, held on October 13, recognized the upstream energy industry’s leading technological innovations.

Schlumberger took home top honors in three of the awards categories: Best Drilling Technology, Best Well Intervention Technology, and New Horizons Idea, an award that recognizes a product, technology or idea that redefines the industry’s thinking. Another seven of the company’s technologies were selected as finalists across various categories.

“Competition was spirited this year, as we received more than 300 nominations, from which 97 finalists emerged,” said Kurt Abraham, World Oil’s editor-in-chief and chief forecaster. “This is a record number of nominations, so even being selected as a finalist is a huge achievement.”
