To improve the interwell image and provide higher resolution measurements than data acquired from the surface like seismic and deep investigation than well logs can, receiver arrays are deployed within the well bore for the Vertical Seismic Profiles (VSP), crosswell seismic and microseismics acquisition techniques. Through recent improvements in the technologies it is now possible to substantially improve reservoir management. The deployed sensor arrays can also have multiple applications and acquire more than type of data at a time offering operational efficiency benefits.
