Background
Concerned about the high volume of HydraGlyde system fluid lost at the shakers, an operator needed a way to reduce mud on cuttings (MOC). The operator decided to install SCREEN PULSE fluid and cuttings separators on three MONGOOSE PRO dynamic dual-motion shale shakers. Used with DURAFLO composite replacement screens, the SCREEN PULSE separators maximize fluid recovery and shaker performance in the high-ROP environment of the Eagle Ford shale.

Using these technologies, the operator reduced fluid discharge by 75% compared with the fluid discharge from rig shakers, and reduction of 50% compared with that from drying shakers only. This led to a recovery of 12 bbl/day of the HydraGlyde system.
