Predict the effects of hydrate and wax

In flow assurance analysis, the formation of solids during normal production or shutdown needs to be carefully addressed for proper design. The Olga™ dynamic multiphase flow simulator has specialized modules that can predict the existence and effects of hydrate and wax in a pipeline or wellbore.

Track concentrations for inhibitors

In addition, the Olga simulator has a module that will track the concentrations for inhibitors such as MEG, methanol, or ethanol.

Study sand and particles flow

The sand transportation model can be used to calculate accumulation and transportation of sand particles. The flow of solid particles in multiphase tubes and pipes is an important flow assurance issue. As well as being a general nuisance, particles can affect fluid flow and heat transfer significantly. They can cause damage to equipment and pipes by erosion, and the blockage of pipes by particle deposition can cause severe loss of production.
