Demosthenis Pafitis
Chief Technology Officer
Demosthenis (Demos) Pafitis is SLB’s chief technology officer, a position he assumed in February 2020. He is responsible for the global strategy and execution of SLB’s technology development and sustainability activities.
Demos began his SLB career in 1991, initially working in research and engineering in the UK and US. Prior to assuming his role as chief technology officer, Demos held various leadership roles, including senior vice president of SLB’s Technology platforms; geomarket manager for Brunei, Malaysia, and the Philippines; and vice president of engineering.
Demos holds a bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from the University of London, and a doctorate in materials science and engineering from the University of Cambridge. He is also a Chartered Engineer in the UK.
