IVAAP 2025.1 now available

Enhancements to IVAAP 2025.1 push the envelope of advanced data visualization, enabling users to build, share, and consume domain-specific dashboards with greater efficiency and interoperability.

In this release, you will find new functionality:



  • Multi-trajectory geosteering support: Visualize and compare multiple well paths—planned and real-time—in a single view. This feature is especially valuable for geosteering teams managing complex horizontal wells and sidetracks.
  • Editable tops and dips with WITSML write-back: Make updates directly in IVAAP and write them back to your WITSML store, improving collaboration and ensuring data consistency across teams.
  • Enhanced visualization tools: New sinusoidal dip displays and improved fault intersection rendering provide greater clarity and context for interpretation.
  • Real-time data scaling: Interact with large datasets more efficiently, enabling faster insights and smoother performance in high-volume environments.
  • Expanded OSDU® Data Platform support: Broader schema compatibility and improved deployment flexibility make it easier to integrate IVAAP solution into your cloud-native workflows.
  • Technical assurance integration: Quickly assess the reliability of well data using assurance stamps from the OSDU® Data Platform.

Advanced viewer updates

  • Reservoir visualization: Reservoir properties can now be switched and highlighted in both the 3D and Basemap widgets, improving spatial analysis and reservoir understanding.
  • 2D seismic viewer: Adds support for interpolation for fault intersections, improving structural interpretation.
  • Multi-domain 3D viewer: Enhanced with tooltips for reservoir and well data, better CRS handling, and camera angle preservation. Users can now switch and highlight reservoir properties directly from the data tree.
  • Cross-plot widget: New synchronization with the Basemap widget and improved regression line visuals.
  • Map canvas: Option to disable well symbol aggregation and expanded heat map levels.

  • WITSML enhancements: Save edited tops and dips, and benefit from improved TVDSS calculations when KB is undefined.
  • MongoDB connector: Now supports importing all directional file columns and includes an admin view for topset and well listings.
  • OpenZGY support: Expanded to S3, GeoFiles, and cloud storage nodes for seismic data access.
  • OSDU® Data Platform enhancements: Support for RESQML and HDF5 reservoir data in blob storage, and new data types like SeismicFault and Sample improve integration and analysis. Technical Assurance labels added to well logs for better data governance.
