ACTive multicycle system for actuated response
Enable precise, selective downhole tool actuation for efficient, tailored multilateral stimulation in one run
ACTive™ multilateral stimulation service is a selective actuation system for downhole tools, enabling real-time, efficient control of SLB and third-party tractors, multilateral tools, and modules for any scope of coiled tubing intervention and in any environment, including extended-reach wells.
Expanding upon the proven ACTive real-time downhole coiled tubing services, this multilateral stimulation service features several modules—the ACTive multicycle system for actuated response (MSAR), electrical multilateral (eMLT) module, and direction and inclination (D&I) module. Facilitating downhole operations with precision, speed, and versatility; this ACTive service pioneers a new level of efficiency and responsiveness in complex well environments.
The ACTive multilateral stimulation service leverages the suite of modules to provide precise, on-demand actuation for a range of hydraulic tools, including third-party tractors. Its real-time measurements and dual flow states optimize entry into laterals and streamline coiled tubing intervention, reducing the need for additional interventions in extended-reach wells. Operators can monitor lateral mapping continuously and adjust downhole tools efficiently with the support of point and distributed sensing data.
Surface commands trigger shifts in flow direction, allowing operators to seamlessly toggle between annulus circulation and downstream flow without tool retrieval. The ACTive MSAR module maintains stable positioning under varying downhole conditions without consuming power, and includes a contingency feature for manual flow redirection to ensure reliable performance in challenging well environments.
