The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2021 scored ESG performance across hundreds of metrics. Companies must be within the top 15% of their industry as well as achieve a score within 30% of their industry’s top-performing company.
As part of its ESG commitment, Schlumberger uses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a primary framework for translating corporate priorities into locally relevant social and environmental programs and initiatives—prioritizing 11 of the 17 SDGs through which the company can achieve the greatest positive impact.
This approach enables in-country teams to concentrate on facilitating communities where we work and live in achieving targets associated with the SDGs. This reinforces how sustainability is embedded at every level of the company, including geographies, business lines, and functions, with contributions across its workforce enabling measurable progress.
