Because of the ACTive services used in this application, the operator was able to run the WELL SCAVENGER tool alongside the coiled tubing into the expected fill area. The tool recovered a total of 1.227 bbl of cement debris from the well.

Background
During a workover operation on an offshore gas well, the operator needed to remove cement plug debris to bring the well back into operation. After cement plug milling, the residual debris in the wellbore needed to be removed and the well validated. Schlumberger suggested using the WELL SCAVENGER vacuum debris removal tool from M-I SWACO, a Schlumberger company, to clean the cement debris from the hole. The operator used ACTive real-time downhole coiled tubing services to provide real-time pressure and temperature measurements during milling and cleanout operations.
