Alternate Path systems use shunt tubes and nozzles to bypass bridges and fill in voids that can occur when gravel and frac packing. Each system is composed of a screen with shunt tubes, fluid systems, and a customized pumping design. The Alternate Path system helps ensure a successful completion by producing complete annular packs—both in cased hole wells with long or laminated intervals and in openhole wells with long horizontal sections, wellbore instability, and narrow windows between fracture and pore pressures.
