As part of the automated stimulation delivery platform, bulk-delivery silos are set up on location. During proppant delivery, the platform streamlines traffic flow on location by eliminating the need for trucks to back in. The process trailer is able to scan a code and download material or product information, then automatically adjusts the loader according to the job design. Proppant is unloaded from the truck into a conveyer system and then transported up and into the silos using a bucket delivery system, which minimizes dust and noise. The proppant is transported to the top of the silos—which have a capacity of one million pounds—and the type of proppant is identified and directed to predetermined bins, limiting contamination of proppant types and reducing the risk of human error. Sensors at the top of the silos prevent overfilling, and the silo design minimizes spillage and blowing of sand. The proppant delivery silo system improves inventory management and dust control, reduces the footprint on location by optimizing traffic flow, and lowers HSE risks through an automated process requiring fewer people on location.
